My exposure to art and music started at a very young age. My mother enrolled me in ballet, violin, piano, even drawing and acting classes. I didn't like the structure or the practice that was required to master them but I know that these activities shaped me. As a child, I was happiest spending countless hours outside, lost in my own imagination and the secret worlds that I created in my mind. After college I needed a change and I found a new appreciation for how green the trees can grow, how clean the air can smell and how standing on top of a mountain can truly touch your soul when I lived in Spokane, Washington. All my life, I have appreciated art in many different mediums but photography is the art that draws me in to something deeper within me. I am like a child amazed by the color, texture, light and depth you can capture with a camera. I am once again lost in my own imagination. My work tends to be varied, from those shots that are perfect as the camera and I originally took them, to others that I consider "creative" photography. I use the wonders of photo editing technology to make minor adjustments for some and more dramatic enhancements for others. The most dramatic are my own artistic interpretations of the image. I am fortunate that my love for travel gives me endless opportunities to capture the beauty of nature along with other unique, spiritual and artistic points of interest which you will see throughout my work.
